English in GGIS No one can deny that English language is the most used language in communication all over the world. Learning academic English becomes a necessary need for individuals to be able to interact with people from different countries and cultures. It enables the learner to join the global society and to become an international person. The world is transforming, and the way we learn and communicate is evolving along with it. From e-mails, texts, the Internet, social media, and instant messages to mobile devices, virtual collaboration, and more, technology changes the way we interact with each other. It is crucial to prepare students to become effective 21st century communicators. Different language arts e.g. literacy, grammar, phonics…..etc. have a great role in the gradually development of the learners’ language, looking forward to make them master using it. This is achieved by applying the most recent English teaching methodologies and techniques and by offering academic curriculums based on international standards that work on supporting ELL with various language skills. Through adopting an American English Curriculum, GGIS is leading the way by providing students with rich, meaningful opportunities to build content knowledge through studying informational texts in order to develop strong general knowledge of the world around them and so they can also learn independently. Our English curriculums allow the students to read increasingly complex texts and to focus on comprehension to prepare for the demands of reading required in college and career. They’re also trained to excel reading and writing diverse English text types, and to comprehend the literary skills that each type includes.
